What is DeepGamma?
DeepGamma is the gamma-exposure and option-flow module of DeepCharts. It renders market-maker gamma exposure (GEX Profile, GEX Heatmap, Gamma Bands) and option flow inside the same chart as futures order flow. It ships with the Pro plan only.
What is GEX (gamma exposure)?
GEX is the net gamma exposure of market makers on an index's options. In positive GEX they buy dips and sell rallies, dampening volatility; in negative GEX they do the opposite and amplify moves. That hedging spills into the ES future.
You trade ES or NQ, and options don't interest you. Fine — but the market makers who sell SPX options don't have that luxury: every option they write forces them to hedge in ES futures, continuously, whatever they think of price. DeepGamma is the DeepCharts module that maps that obligatory flow — and it lands on the contract you trade.

Two regimes, two opposite market behaviours
Gamma measures how fast a dealer's hedge must be readjusted when price moves. The sign of their net exposure decides whether that hedging calms the market or feeds it:
Dealers buy dips and sell rallies to stay neutral. Volatility gets dampened, price sticks to a range, breakouts fade. Fade the extremes, cut your targets.
Dealers sell dips and buy rallies. Every move gets amplified, trends extend, ranges break. Stop fading — follow, and widen your stops.
The level where exposure flips sign — zero gamma — is the frontier between the two. It's the single most useful number of the whole module, and it explains why the same absorption setup works on Monday and fails on Wednesday.
What's inside the module
Four gamma tools and four option-flow readings, all native to the platform — no third-party GEX subscription to reconcile with your chart.
Market-maker gamma exposure stacked strike by strike: call wall, put wall, zero gamma.
The same exposure painted level by level on price, through time: cool = damper, warm = accelerator.
Session boundaries derived from gamma: inside it absorbs, outside it pushes.
Gamma concentration, to locate the strikes that will actually structure the session.
Large option tickets on the chart: call or put, opening or closing, buy or sell.
The range the options market prices for the chosen expiration — your frame for targets and stops.
Total option volume, to judge whether activity actually backs the levels on screen.
The net delta of option flow: the directional bias of what trades, not of what is predicted.

Observed dealer positioning, not a convention
Almost every GEX tool on the market applies an industry assumption — dealers are short calls and long puts — then computes exposure from it. On SPX, DeepGamma reads the participant data Cboe actually publishes, which identifies market-maker executions. Same output on screen, very different reliability underneath: one is a model of who holds what, the other is a measurement.

The honest caveat: that data exists on SPX and nowhere else. NDX, QQQ and SPY are rebuilt from OPRA data with a proprietary formula — useful, but an estimate. If you trade NQ, the cleanest reading still comes from the SPX/ES side, used as market-wide context.
DeepCharts also advertises roughly nine months of granular history, replayable together with order flow — which means you can check a gamma read on past sessions instead of believing it.

Each tool, explained in depth
A dedicated guide per tool: the principle, what DeepGamma does better, how to use it day to day and the trap to avoid.
A map of dealer gamma exposure, strike by strike: where hedging flow will concentrate.
Dealer gamma exposure painted straight onto price, level by level, through time.
Session boundaries derived from gamma exposure: where hedging flow changes nature.
Large option tickets plotted on your chart: call or put, opening or closing, bought or sold.
The range the options market prices for the session — your frame for targets and stops.
Which plan includes DeepGamma
DeepGamma is not an add-on you bolt onto any plan: it ships with the top tier only. Here are the three DeepChart plans as listed on 11 August 2026 (monthly equivalent, billed annually):
Indicative pricing, checked 11 August 2026 on deepcharts.com — it can change, and DeepCharts also advertises the gamma suite "from $46/month" on its own DeepGamma page (launch offer or a reduced tier). Check the exact figure at activation. The license is only one line of the budget: the data feed and MBO depth are billed separately.
Our honest take: who it's for
DeepGamma is worth it if you already trade ES or NQ with a method that works and you keep getting caught out by regime changes — the days when your range setups suddenly stop paying. In that case gamma explains what you were missing, and paying the Pro tier buys you a real edge in context.
It is not worth it if you're still learning to read a footprint, if you trade FDAX or commodities exclusively (SPX gamma says nothing about them), or if you're looking for entry signals. GEX is context, never a trigger — DeepCharts states as much. Adding a layer you can't yet interpret is the fastest way to make your reading worse, not better.
Not there yet? Start with the order flow pillar and the heatmap guide — the foundation the gamma layer sits on.
Where it fits in a trading day
Before the open you read the gamma context: regime, zero gamma, call and put walls, expected range. That gives you a plan — fade or follow, and how far to aim. During the session you go back to the tools you already know: the footprint for execution, the liquidity heatmap for resting orders. Gamma sets the frame; order flow times the trade. Follow it live on our session journal.

FAQ
What is DeepGamma?+
DeepGamma is the gamma-exposure and option-flow module of the DeepCharts platform. It renders dealer gamma exposure (GEX Profile, GEX Heatmap, Gamma Bands, Gamma Profile) and option flow (large flows, expected move, total option volume, net option delta) inside the same chart as your futures order flow.
Why would a futures trader care about SPX options?+
Because dealers who sell SPX options hedge in ES futures. That hedging is obligatory flow: it hits the future you trade, regardless of what you think of options. GEX maps where that flow should concentrate — which makes it context for ES, and by correlation for NQ.
Which instruments does DeepGamma cover?+
The real market-maker data comes from Cboe participant reporting and exists on SPX only — the GEX Heatmap and large option flows are SPX-exclusive. NDX, QQQ and SPY are computed from OPRA data with a proprietary formula, so they are an approximation rather than an observed measurement.
Is DeepGamma included in every DeepCharts plan?+
No. On the DeepChart pricing page it ships with the Pro plan only (around $94/month billed annually); the Orderflow and Full plans do not include the gamma tools. DeepCharts separately advertises the gamma suite from $46/month on its DeepGamma page, so a launch offer or a reduced tier may apply — check the exact price at activation. Figures checked on 11 August 2026.
Does GEX predict market direction?+
No, and DeepCharts says so itself: GEX indicates where obligatory hedging flow should concentrate, not which way price will go. It's context that needs tape confirmation — an order-flow read stays the entry trigger.
Should a beginner buy DeepGamma?+
Probably not. If you can't yet read a footprint or a liquidity heatmap, gamma levels add a layer of noise on top of a foundation that isn't built. Learn the flow first; add the options context when you already have a method that works.
