Institutional Order Flow: NQ Futures

Module 04 · The ten institutional setupsLesson 12 of 2610 min🔒 Students only

Setup 2 · Stop Run Fade

Level: intermediate · Target R:R: 1:3 and above · Window: New York open, tests of the previous day's levels

The algos know where the retail stops are: below the obvious lows, above the highs, on round numbers, beyond the overnight range. They push price just far enough to trigger them, help themselves to the liquidity released, then the move reverses. DeepDom detects this sweep in real time; the footprint and the Speed of Tape confirm that there is no follow-through.

Procedure, long case after a bearish stop run

  1. Identify the level at risk: a clearly visible low (swing, previous day, overnight). On the heatmap, liquidity has been accumulating just below it for fifteen to thirty minutes.
  2. Watch the bearish spike: one to three very fast 1-minute candles. The Speed of Tape explodes, the candle's delta is very negative.
  3. Stop Run Detection lights up. Check whether price stabilizes or comes straight back: a true stop run does not settle below the level.
  4. Confirm the return: the next candle closes above the level that was pierced. That is the entry signal.
