The NQ's US session: 3:30 pm to 10 pm
Module 03 · 3 · The seven stocks that make the NQLesson 12 of 299 min🔒 Students only
Reading the leaders in session: ahead, behind, divergence
Since the NQ follows a concentrated basket, part of its invisible book can be read by watching three or four stocks beside the future. Not to trade the stocks, to qualify what the NQ is doing.
The leaders panel
On a second screen, or in a reduced DeepCharts window, display four things on a 1-minute chart, no indicator:
- The index's first stock, the one with the largest weight.
- The day's leader among the eight, the one with the largest relative volume since 3:30 pm (it changes almost every day, and it is often a semiconductor name).
- The Nasdaq-100 ETF (QQQ), for the overview and its own book (lesson 4 of this module).
- The ES, for the intermarket (module 4).
