Spoofing

Fake large orders shown then pulled to mislead the market. Spottable when liquidity “vanishes” as soon as price gets close.

liquidité fantôme

Spoofing means displaying large orders to give a false impression of supply or demand, then cancelling them before execution. On the heatmap, liquidity 'evaporates' as price approaches.

Example

A huge sell wall disappears right before being hit → it was a spoof.
