Volume Bubbles: aggression in real time

If the heatmap shows where orders are waiting, the Volume Bubbles show where the market actually trades. Each market execution appears as a bubble, at the exact price and moment.

• Green bubble: market buy (executed at the ask, aggressive buyer).
• Violet bubble: market sell (executed at the bid, aggressive seller).
• Bubble size: proportional to the size of the execution. Small, retail or noise; large, a significant participant.

Three configurations

1. The cluster: several large bubbles of the same color, close together in time and price. A major player is executing in size. In the direction of a wall that is giving way, it is a breakout; against a wall that holds, it is absorption in progress.
2. The battle: large green and violet bubbles at the same price. Two camps in size, and the outcome often sets the direction.
