Trading the heatmap with DeepDom
Seeing intention before price
A candlestick chart only shows the past: what has already traded. Order flow and the heatmap show the market's present intention: where real orders, with real money, are waiting before price gets there. It is the difference between driving while looking in the rearview mirror and looking at the road ahead.
The core idea of the course
Price moves because aggressive orders (market orders) consume passive orders (limit orders). The heatmap maps the passive side; the Volume Bubbles show the aggressive side. Once you can read both, you understand why price reacts at a level, not just that it reacts.
The four reading layers of DeepDom, from context to trigger. The course takes them in order, then teaches you to read them together.
The four layers
- The DOM: where orders are resting, right now (the book as a ladder).
- The heatmap: how that liquidity built up over time.
- The Volume Bubbles: where, and how aggressively, the market actually trades.
- CVD, VWAP and profiles: the confirmation, net pressure, average price, value zones.
The program
- The foundations: the order book, the two families of orders, DeepDom's advanced DOM.
- The heatmap: the color scale, fresh and persistent liquidity, execution bubbles.
- Confirmation: CVD, VWAP, profiles, spread.
- The institutional game: absorption, icebergs, spoofing, stop runs.
- The method: reading in confluence, five setups, stop placement.
- Risk: money management, rules, psychology, checklist.
How to follow the course
Read in order the first time through: each chapter builds on the previous one. The Key takeaway boxes sum up the essentials, the diagrams show what you will see on screen, and the screenshots are DeepDom's own. Two intermediate quizzes check your reading before the method. The site's interactive demo lets you manipulate a heatmap step by step, and the glossary details every term.
Reminder: educational material, not investment advice. Futures trading carries a substantial risk of loss.
