FDAX: order flow on Eurex

Module 01 · 1 · The Eurex terrainLesson 1 of 3510 min🔒 Students only

FDAX, FDXM, FDXS: three sizes, one order book

The market you trade before the American breakfast

A French-speaking order flow trader has a scheduling problem. NQ and ES only give their real flow from 3:30 pm Paris time, and the best of the session plays out between 3:30 pm and 10 pm. In the morning, those books are a waiting room.

Meanwhile, in Frankfurt, an index of 40 stocks opens at 9 am with an auction, builds its own session until the American handover, and its future trades on a book the exchange publishes order by order. That is the FDAX, and this course is entirely devoted to it.

We do not go back over the basics of order flow here: footprint, delta, heatmap and absorption are assumed known (NQ course and Heatmap course). We take those tools and put them on a terrain that does not behave like the CME.
