GEX (MM), H-GEX and C/P OI (R): DeepCharts' gamma columns against the order book
Who is waiting where, and the minute that shifts the balance of power (captures 2 and 4)
At 4:47 pm, price is at 7,604.25, wedged between a 150-lot sell wall at 7,610 and buyers a little larger than average at 7,600. The gamma map tells you how price will behave at each level; the book tells you who is waiting for it at each price, and who is aggressing. Buyers have a slight edge in the book (+43 lots). One minute later, at 4:48:07 pm, aggressive buyers take over and push price to 7,607, but the book fills up on the sell side: the gap goes from +43 to −151. This lesson teaches you to read the DeepDom screen from left to right, then to compare two snapshots one minute apart.
