# NQU2026:  PPI eases fears and confirms a disinflationary tailwind

## What marked the session

The PPI print, seen as more “breathable”, first triggered a classic short squeeze on Nasdaq 100 futures, but that burst of euphoria was quickly capped by a strong supply zone just below 30,000, from which the contract was pushed back toward its intraday levels.
As long as buyers fail to regain control above this rejection area, the market remains vulnerable to a cleanup of the lower liquidity pockets, with price oscillating between digesting the macro release and rebalancing the orders left behind by the initial spike.

## The read, step by step

### Read 1

At the moment the statistic was released, a vertical impulse move was observed from the bottom of the pre‑news range toward the 29,980–30,000 area, accompanied by a large volume cluster on the profile, indicating strong buying interest on the initial reaction. However, this upper zone served as a ceiling: the price briefly remained anchored in this region before being rejected, suggesting a rapid distribution of the long positions opened during the spike.

### Read 2

Nice battle between buyers and sellers around the highlighted zones. For now we’re staying on the sidelines (as a rule, we never step in during the first half hour).

The price has returned to the LVN, which also corresponded to the area outside the value zone, thus a potential reversal zone confirmed by the order flow.
